We should def talk about the cooking/baking stuff more, I'd love to see if we could maybe do something with it... (this summer?...hmmm)
Anyway, I posted below about my thoughts on compression sleeves.
And today was lower body day. My workout wasn't the greatest. I don't know why... Just was tired i guess plus my hip was feeling just slightly weird (nothing consciously immediately noticeable but my body felt it). My achilles or post tib or wahtever it is is bothering me again. Like it used to in high school (it hasn't bothered me like this at all the past 2 years- this is so frustrating!) It's all swollen and SUPER tight and I can't run on it because i gets tight immediately and I literally can't get the full range of motion so it hurts! Plus all the guys were being SUPER annoying! I'll explain at the end.
10 minutes on the stairmaster
3x:
DB split squat- 20lbs/12x
Box jumps- 10
3x:
DB Reverse lunges into curtsey lunges-20lbs/10x
deadlift- 55lbs/12x
3x:
Goblet squat- 40lbs/10x
SB hamstring curls- 15
3x:
This other squat machine we don't have at our gym (because the stupid annoying boys were using up the inverted leg press)- added 2 45lbs plates for 10 reps then into calf raises
HIIT hills on the treadmill (5 minute warmup, 30 seconds all out sprint at 7.5 incline, 30 seconds wwalking for 10 minutes, 5 minute cooldown)... yes this was painful on my achilles.
SO college boys SUCK. I waited for 5 minutes for the inverted leg press then went and did the goblet squats and hamstring curls instead because they were taking forever. Then I went back and they were STILL using it. And they kept looking at me like wtf does she want so then they were like oh yeah we're feeling strong lets add 3 more sets. JUST to spite me it was ridiculous! AND the one guy made me wanna scream his form was AWFUL! Gosh, I thought he was gonna injure himself or the weight was just going to fall on him! Jeeze.
But in good news, I talked to Aaron who said that some shit went down at the gym so I'll probably be getting a call to train because 2 trainers are leaving. Fingers crossed! Then I can show those obnoxious boys how dumb they are. :)
So, I'm due for a new pair of workout shoes. I feel like I shouldn't buy another pair of running shoes because I don't run... I train. I didn't know whether to try a minimalist shoe (maybe I should try some frees for working out?) with my pronation issues and all that. Thoughts?
