To Jacked Victerror
You have certainly been busy! I don't even know where to begin. First, sadly I have to interact or at least hear all three of the gym idiot types on the daily. Oh how I want to just walk over and embarrass them in front of their bro's, but I don't because I like to think that I am a nice person and I can leave people alone with their stupidity. Thank goodness I do not have T.D.L.S anymore, otherwise these articles may have hit home haha.
If I had to pick one, I would think that we are Jacked Jill, but I think we also have a little bit of Gold Medalist in us too, especially you with core games and me with putting heavy things over my face. The Gold Medalist is said to be compatible with the "Xena" type, which I assume is a typo and they really meant to write Jacked Jill, so either way...WIN! As if we didn't have all summer to prove it already, you complement me well. Thanks Gold Medalist Jill.
That brings me into my point that I wanted to share with you today. You may have murdered someone today if you had heard what I heard. Someone came up to me today, while I am mid session, and asked me which circuit was the best. I told him they all had bits and pieces I like, but overall, they are all bad. I mentioned because they all disengage the core and he started arguing that in order to achieve maximal strength, you must disengage the core and isolate the muscle. Still mid-session, he would not let me go. My client was Angel so I decided to duke it out with this idiot. I asked who told him that or what website he got it from (lol) and he said another trainer. I told him that it is rare that I shoot down something completely, but that idea was just plain stupid and holds no value. He explained that the trainer explained it well (no idea what the idea actually revolved around) and he thought it made sense. I asked him where all movement begins and before he could say anything, I blurted out CORE! "Now, if all movement starts from the core, how can you possibly bypass the beginning?" He made the argument that skipping the core enables maximal energy to the muscles. Now I am really upset, like actually upset! I am clearly getting frustrated because I am arguing a stupid argument with someone representing some random trainer's ideas, not even his own. I said, "Well here is how muscles work, first there is an impulse from the brain. It travels down the spinal column and then into the peripheral nervous system. From there, if follows neuron paths and finally into the muscle via the Neuro Muscular Junction. Along this path, it has to activate the supporting muscles ie the CORE to produce maximal force and so how is this even plausible. I then said, with that in mind, the trainer is wrong and that core is needed to get as strong as possible. Then I walked away.
Victoria, this guy looked like a crack addict and I cited examples of people I train with that have strong cores (I named you among some others btw :) ) and how much stronger you are than some other people with weak cores, implying him. I even pulled how my own squat and bench just to prove a point. I simply do not understand how this even makes sense if you are talking about maximal strength.
Do be mad bro, the workout was for a good and worthy reason. I need to make sure this calendar is the best it can be and so that means I cannot embarrass myself, anyone I work(ed) out with and you. If someone goes "oh that's cute, who's the little boy" I may be crushed and you may become ashamed you worked out with me and I can have neither of those. This becomes a reflection on you haha. I am mainly bullshitting, but there is a little truth behind all this. At any rate, I would have thought you would have been proud of me :(
We took a few more pics today for the calendar btw, I think you'll like them :)
I am not writing down the workout because you will just get more upset at me and that's no good. Here's your
Muscle of the Day
Pectoralis Minor
Origin: 3-5 ribs
Insertion: Superior border of scapula
Functions: Not what you think would be logical! It stabilizes the scapula by depressing and bringing it more anterior. Common mistake is that people think that it assists the pec major. It does not!
In summation, you are awesome, I am glad you're feeling better, Don't be mad bro, I can has sorrys, I promise I will begin resting more often, you didn't answer my question about bulking, I hate dumb people that argue points that they do not understand and when I explain my point they shoot it down or argue when they have no f'ing clue what the hell they are talking about,Hope your hip feels better, Have a wonderful weekend and hopefully I will talk to you at some point of this weekend and finally this is a huge giant run-on sentence!
